Freedom was my first language. Wonder, my compass. I never quite fit the world as it presented itself – always more drawn to the invisible threads connecting all things than to anything ordinary. I fell in love with the Amartya Tradition the moment I found it and I've been living the most unexpected, luminous adventure ever since. What calls me to teach is simple: that moment when something shifts in someone's eyes when recognition hits. There is nothing quite like witnessing another soul remember what it always knew. I offer what was so freely given to me by Aaravindha: a lantern on the path, a hand extended. If his teachings changed everything for me, perhaps they hold a key for you too.
I met Aaravindha and the Amartya tradition early in this lifetime — still tender, still unaware of what it was I was truly searching for. Yet something deep stirred unmistakably within me: a call so ancient it may well have been sounding since the very beginning of me. To listen to that call, and to give myself to it, has since become the quiet thread that has steadily, lovingly, unobtrusively and sometimes with a fierce grace guided me ever closer to the life I knew I was born for. What has now been more than fifteen years is the journey of a heart that lights up in recognition of true beauty, that has found its deepest devotion to the true beloved, that grows wiser with each unfolding, and that is only now beginning to take full creative flight. And it is the journey of listening — not to arrive at answers, but as a way of being itself. This is what I am here for: to serve the great call and its awakening in others. This is what brings me profound joy and fulfillment.
Even in my earliest years, the path was calling — a fascination with the Divine, with nature, and the living relationship between both was always present. It was the silent threads of Grace that led me to Aaravindha's teachings. Never had I encountered so clear a knowing as when I read Immortal Self: "for lifetimes, this is what I'd been looking for." Since that moment of recognition, my life has shifted in every aspect — always for the better — as I continue to navigate the wilderness of my inner landscape, shedding layers to reveal an ever greater lightness of being. Teaching is to hold space for transformation — through presence, humor, and the light of loving Truth. It is always an honor to walk alongside another, through trial and remembering, as we learn to embody why we are here.
Aaravindha Himadra
Aaravindha is at the heart of the Amartya Tradition in the west, sharing the ancient Amartya Knowledge under the name Sambodha for over three decades in the US and Europe.
His life was transformed in 2006, after receiving an invitation to the elusive Himalayan Valley of the Immortal Masters. Aaravindha's inspiring and transformative journey is well documented in his bestselling book: The Immortal Self.

For many years now I have rarely placed my name beside a course other than my own. I offer that endorsement sparingly, and only when I am certain the ones teaching are ready to carry the subject with the care it asks of them. With The Way of the Sacred, I am certain.

I would not turn you toward it if I did not trust their hands to hold it well. I do. And so I offer this not as something to be sold to you, but as something I believe may genuinely serve you — should the quieter call within you be ready to answer.
